Here are some pictures from our trip to Denmark. The one where we are standing in front of the door was where Hans Christian Anderson lived for a period of time (that's what the plaque located twenty feet above our head says). And yes, it really is as cold as it looks. I think my eyeballs froze a little when we stopped to take a picture in front of the famous Little Mermaid statue. Luckily her head was still attached (the locals have a habit of blowing it up) so it was all worth it.

Those are delightful pictures. You really managed to capture the coldness. How cold was it? And what do you mean by the habit of blowing up the mermaid's head?
It was about 25-28 F, which really wasn't that bad for most of the trip. The last day, however, when we went to Nyhavn (where HC Anderson's house is) and saw the Little Mermaid statue it was not only cold but REALLY windy. And about the statue...apparently it's a favorite target for all types of vandalism. It's been stolen, had the head and arm cut off, been painted red, been blown up...etc.
What was the occasion? Not that you need a reason to go to Europe, but I assume you had one! It looks like a fun (very cold) trip!
Amber, thank you so much for reading my blog. I will try harder to keep it more interesting now that I know I have an audience of two. We went to Denmark because we know a family that lives there and because it sounded like fun.
