Toot. Toot.

So I reached a new milestone last night. I have been thinking about possibly maybe trying a half-marathon sometime in the near future, and it turns out there is one coming up in June. On a good day, I usually run between 5-6 miles, sometimes a little more. Yesterday was a Monday, which are typically my best running days because I don't usually work out on Saturdays or Sundays. I thought it would be a good time to really push myself to the limit and see what I could do. And holy frijole, I surprised even myself.

I ran 10 miles in 98.53!

That is the longest I have ever run, and definitely the fastest pace I have maintained for a distance longer than six miles. I think I am ready to train for a half-marathon. The real test will be in the springtime, when the weather warms up and I can start training outside. Running on a treadmill is one thing...but running outside is a whole different animal. But after last night, I think I can do it.

And yes, that was me tooting my own horn.
